Stolen bench

This letter is to the person or persons who stole the children’s bench in front of our daycare center, located at 8942 East Market St., Howland. We used that bench every day for our school age children who have to wait to get on the school bus. When walking the children out one morning they looked at me and asked me where there bench went. I couldn’t believe that anyone would stoop that low to steal a child’s bench. When I put the wood and metal bench out in front of the day care center at the beginning of this school year the kids were excited. They had a place to wait for the bus every day. It was the perfect size for their little bodies. How cute they looked sitting there with their backpacks eagerly waiting for bus. I’m not sure if the person who took our bench was in desperate need of one, pawned it for a few bucks, or just wanted a thrill but regardless of the reason it was a heartbreaking day for us. The monetary value was insignificant but it unfortunately taught the childr
