LORDSTOWN - Larry Gene Tyson, 72, of Lordstown, entered into eternal rest on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at his residence.
He was born on Oct. 9, 1941, in Rawson, the son of Clyde and Capitola Tooley Tyson. He has lived in Lordstown for the past 13 years, formerly of North Jackson.
Larry was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired in 1994 as a purchasing agent with Henn Workshop.
He was a member of the American Legion Lake Milton Post 699 and the VFW. He loved to travel and his favorite destination was visiting Gettysburg.
Larry married the former Paula Marie Wright on Aug. 14, 1974. They were blessed with 39 years of marriage.
Loving memories of Larry will be carried on by his wife, Paula Tyson of Lordstown; daughter, Lisa J. (Mark) Jeffries of Hocking Hills; sons, Steven (Vicki) Tyson of Castaic, Calif., Gregory (Nicole) Tyson of Austintown and Tye (Clarissa) Tyson of Poland; sisters, Nancy (Fred) Blankenship of Findlay and Linda Myers of Lexington, Ky.; and his loving grandchildren, Samantha, Brandi, Megan, Jenna, Troy, Lara, Brody and Alyse.
Per Larry's wishes, cremation has taken place. Private services will be held at his home at a later date.
