GIRARD - Emil E. David, 88, of Girard, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Emil was born April 5, 1925, in Youngstown, the son of John and Katrina McGregor David.
He was a machinist for Trumbull Manufacturing and retired from Brainard Rivet in Girard.
He was a member of St. Rose Church.
Emil was a surgical tech for the Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, the former Virginia F. Leskovec; children, Madeline Moon of Akron, Kenneth David of Niles, Karen Williams of Girard and Michael David of Conneaut; two sisters, JoAnne Young and Minnie Wolf; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose Church, preceded by a prayer service at 9 a.m. at Blackstone Funeral Home.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at Girard City Cemetery with military honors.
