What will it take to again have rising wages, thriving communities, equality and a true democracy without the tea party Republicans trying to suppress workers' rights, minority rights, students' rights, veterans' rights, seniors' right to vote, job security, and retirement and health care security?
The middle class has to mobilize and get out the vote. These anti-worker Congress people have to be shown the road back to their home states. If we just sit around and let everyone else fight to get our country back, then it isn't going to work.
In the preamble to the Constitution, the founding fathers said it best: "We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union." This part I have quoted has no meaning to the tea party Republicans. They have total disdain for a union of any kind. They don't want a perfect union, they want everything to go their way or they throw a fit.
If the Founding Fathers are looking down on us, they're probably saying that they thought they had gotten rid of King George III, but as we can see, we have a King George III in disguise and his name is John Boehner. Total control is his goal. If you have a suggestion or a bill that helps middle class people, you're drowned out or just plain ignored.
One thing that all of us in the 99 percent have to do is combat tea party conservatives who want to roll back voting rights with new laws and policies. All of these laws and policies would affect mostly non-whites, students and the elderly. This is one of their dirty tricks to try to get their handpuppets elected so they can spread their venom among all of us.
We can take back the House in 2014 if everyone sticks together and speaks out.
