Mr. and Mrs. Deryl Porter of Champion celebrated their 60th anniversary this past summer with a gathering of family and friends.
Deryl and the former Carol Bassett were married July 11, 1953, at the First United Methodist Church in Ravenna.
Mr. Porter retired from Packard Electric as transportation manager, and Mrs. Porter retired from Franklin Health Care in Warren.

They have been members of Tod Avenue United Methodist Church for more than 50 years, both serving on various committees over the years.
Mr. Porter is active in several area golf leagues, and Mrs. Porter participates in sewing and craft groups.
They have four children, Anita Shaw of Cortland, Steve (Kathy) Porter of Marietta, Ga., Russell (Phyllis) Porter of Alpharetta, Ga., and Amy (Raymond) Rabovsky of Overland Park, Kan. They also have 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
