WARREN - A 34-year-old Warren man was injured while riding his motorcycle when he and a sport utility vehicle collided in downtown Warren late Thursday morning.
Charles E. Clauss of Belvedere Avenue S.E. was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle west on East Market Street shortly after 11 a.m. when a Ford Explorer traveling east tried to turn north on Pine Avenue N.E., causing the accident, according to a police report.
Clauss was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Health Center. His condition was unavailable Thursday night.
The SUV driver, Saintmary F. Tillman, 46, of Dunstan Drive N.W., will be cited later pending outcome of injury to Clauss, according to the report. Tillman also was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Health Center.
According to witnesses, Clauss and the motorcycle were dragged several feet through the intersection.
