As public service to residents and businesses of the township, officials announced they are updating the township community map and guide for the first time in six years.
''Every household will receive a map for free,'' said Beverly Miller of Municipal Publications.
The map and community guide will open up with information that is useful to residents, Miller said. The map and brochure is meant to be a reference guide to people who are new to the community and current residents.
Coordination with the Howland Fire Department, the guide should be completed this fall, Miller said, and will be mailed free of charge to every household in the township.
Publication costs for the map and guide are covered by advertisers who purchase space on the brochure. Space is still available for businesses, churches, organizations and non-profits to have their information printed on the guide, Miller said.
Advertisers will receive a laminated copy of the brochure for display purposes, she said.
Anyone wishing to sponsor the project can call Beverly Miller at the township administration building at 330-856-2340, Ext. 1031.
