McDONALD - Donald Godfrey, 86, died at 10:50 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at his residence in McDonald.
He was born March 2, 1927, in Grant Town, W.Va., a son of Geroge and Ione Hyer Godfrey.
Godfrey served in the U.S. Navy for six years during World War II. He retired from LTV Steel in Niles.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Sherk Godfrey of McDonald; two brothers, Elbert Godfrey of Florida and Olin Godfrey of Ravenna; sisters, Zela Wilson and Geneva Osbourne of West Virginia; daughters, Nancy Jo Clifford of Ravenna and Sherry Smith of Arkansas; son, Galen Godfrey of Ravenna; stepdaughter, Amy Puz of Girard; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and sister.
Calling hours will be held at 4 p.m. and a funeral services at 5 p.m. Monday at Open Door Church, 525 E. Marshall Road, McDonald.
There also will be a luncheon/dinner at the church.
Schiavone Funeral Home, Youngstown, handled arrangements.
