HOWLAND - Mary Ann Ross, 82, of Howland, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at Shepherd of the Valley in Warren.
Mary Ann was born Oct. 23, 1930, the daughter of the late James R. Satterfield Sr. and Leo Batson Satterfield in Fairmont, W.Va.
Mary Ann was a STNA at the Fairmont General Hospital, where she worked for more than 20 years. Mary Ann was the treasurer for the AFL-CIO Union for the state of West Virginia and a member of Blessed Sacrament in Warren.
Mary Ann is survived by her brother, James (Jacqueline) Satterfield Jr.; a sister, Margaret Higinbotham; nieces and nephews, Danny Higinbotham, Patricia (Michael) Hammond, Kimberly Higinbotham (Robert Bates), Christine (Carl) Smith, Rhonda (David) Wiles, Brenda (Robert) Houston and Sandra (James) Davis; and many other great- and great-great-nieces and great- and great-great-nephews.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her first husband, John Watson; her second husband, Michael Ross; a son, John E. Watson; her parents; and one brother, Orville Vernon.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive N.E.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Blessed Sacrament Church, 3020 Reeves Road, Warren. The Rev. Thomas Eisweirth will celebrate the Mass.
