LIBERTY - Richard J. LoSasso Sr., 96, died Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 24, 2013, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born March 13, 1917, in Youngstown, the son of Vincenzo Diego and Josephine Speziale LoSasso.
Richard was the owner of Youngstown barber shops including Arco Barber Shop in the McGuffey Mall.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Youngstown.
Survivors include two daughters, Jacqueline Watson of Girard and Stephanie DeMain of Holland, Pa.; a son, Richard J. Jr. of Mineral Ridge; three grandchildren; five great-granddaughters; a brother, James of Boardman; and two sisters, Josephine Romandetti of Boardman and Mary Ferko of Berlin Center.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Lepsik LoSasso; a son, James R.; a brother; and three sisters.
Family and friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown. Funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home and continue with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Youngstown.
A committal service with military honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Austintown, where Richard will be laid to rest next to his wife.
