POLAND - Rodger W. Klink, 66, entered into rest Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at Hospice of the Valley Hospice House in Poland.
Rodger was born March 3, 1947, in Niles, the son of George and Betty Fox Klink.
He graduated from Lakeview High School in 1966. Following graduation, Rodger honorably served in the U.S. Army, serving overseas in Vietnam.
He had been employed as an independent cross country truck driver, driving extensively throughout the United States and Canada.
Rodger's passtimes included motorcycling and four-wheeling, fishing, spending time at the Mahoning Valley Sportsman's Club, and just enjoying life to the fullest.
He was a member with the VFW Post 2799 in New Springfield and the Allen Lodge 276 F&AM.
Cherished memories of Rodger will be carried on by his family, his daughter, Monica (Chris) Mitchell; his son, Jethro (Jamie) Klink; his grandchildren, Brandon Mitchell, Scott Mitchell, Evan Mitchell, Katie Mitchell, Adam Moody and Jayce Klink; his mother, Betty Klink; and his companion, Linda Russell.
Preceding Rodger were his father, George Klink; his daughter, Amanda Klink; his brother, George "JR" Klink; his first wife, Joyce Soules; and his second wife, Marilyn Klink.
The family will receive friends beginning at 5 p.m. Friday at the VFW Post 2799 in New Springfield, where a service will be held at 6 p.m. A fellowship will follow until 8 p.m.
Arrangements for Rodger were entrusted to the Borowski Funeral Service and Oak Meadow Cremation Services.
