The man, who reported the incident on Thursday, told police he went to Rocky's AM PM Food Mart on West Market Street with another person about 11:30 p.m. to buy beer. He told police that his smoker kit had been stolen previously and that the person who accompanied him to Rocky's told him that he knew who stole it, the report states.

The victim told police he was advised to go to the other man's residence on Jefferson Street S.W. According to the report, there were three females at the residence when the two men arrived.

The victim, who also lives on Jefferson S.W., told police one of the females advised him that the group wanted his money and that they knew he had recently withdrawn $400, reports state.

The report continues that one of the females, who was holding two knives, advised him again "to either give up the money or he was dead."
