RAIN GARDEN WORKSHOP: The Trumbull Soil and Water Conservation District will host rain garden workshops for formal and nonformal educators and interested individuals with sessions at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on July 23 at the Trumbull Agriculture and Family Education Center, Cortland. Rain gardens are typically built to address storm water runoff. The workshop is free and a meal is provided at each session; however, registration is required by July 19. LORDSTOWN HOLDS CONCERT: The Lordstown village concert on the lawn will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the park off Salt Springs Road. Scheduled is Blue Lunch Band.
FARM MARKET PROVIDES ITEMS: In cooperation with the Ohio Association of Food Banks, the Warren City Schools Food Service Department will be having a Mobile Farmer's Market from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Warren G. Harding High School, under the football bleachers, and at the Willard K-8 Building, behind the school. Free produce will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis to families with children.
MAKING COMPOST STEW: The Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District will present Compost Stew at 1 p.m. Friday at Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. N.W. There will be a story, a game and bead craft. The program is for children ages 5 to 12. Registration is required by calling 330-399-8807, Ext. 401.
CRAFT SHOW: Good Shepherd Community Church, 4600 Eagle Creek Road, is having a craft and vendor sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. There will be food and a 50/50 raffle.
FESTIVAL MARKS 25 YEARS: Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 4376 W. Lake Road, Erie, Pa., will hold the 25th annual Panegyri from 2:30 to 11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.
