MESOPOTAMIA OX ROAST MARKS 40 YEARS: The Mesopotamia Volunteer Firemen's Association will present the 40th annual Ox Roast and antique and flea market Friday to Sunday at the township center at Routes 87 and 534. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The event includes over 160 dealers, live entertainment, and food. Entertainment will include Outback Ray at 1 p.m, 2 Men and a Campfire at 2:30 p.m. and RocknCountry Cloggers at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Take II at 2:30 p.m. and God's Country at 5:30 p.m. Saturday and Drake Hollow at 11 a.m. Sunday. Admission is free with parking at the fire station. Those interested in volunteering are asked to call 440-693-4602. The firemen's association was formed in 1972 and helps raise money and recruit members for the department.
CENTER OFFERS SUMMER CAMPS: The Girard Multigenerational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave., is hosting a summer fun program from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 15 to 19 for children ages 5 to 8 and July 22 to 26 for children ages 9 to 12. The program is free of charge but pre-registration is required at 330-545-6596 by July 11.
CAMP HELD FOR GIRLS: Girlz Rock Camp! is holding a camp for girls from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to July 13 at the STEAM Academy, 261 Elm Road, N.E., Warren. FARM MARKET BEGINS: The Howland Township farmer's market will begin 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the township gazebo off East Market Street. The market will be held each Saturday from July 6 to Oct. 12.
MAKING SOLAR OVENS: The OH WOW! Roger and Gloria Jones Children's Science & Technology Center in Youngstown will hold "Make Your Own Solar Oven'' from 2:30 to 3:30 pm.
