PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities at an Arizona wildfire that killed 19 firefighters say they hope to let people return to their homes in fire-ravaged Yarnell by the weekend and contain the blaze within two weeks.

Fire spokeswoman Paige Rockett says the forecast calls for lighter wind today but noted that drought conditions still make it a dangerous situation.

She says the hope is to allow residents back into their homes over the weekend and contain the fire by July 12. It's 8 percent contained now.

All but one member of a Prescott-based Hotshot team was killed Sunday when they were overtaken by flames.

Nearly 600 firefighters are battling the blaze that has burned about 13 square miles and destroyed an estimated 50 homes in Yarnell, a town of about 700 people.
