Warren police are investigating death
WARREN - Warren police were investigating the death of a 56-year-old man whose body was found at a home at 1003 Hemlock Ave. S.W.
Warren police Lt. Martin Gargas said police were called to the home Thursday afternoon after a neighbor reported a foul odor coming from the home. Police found the man's body inside.
The name of the deceased was not being released pending the investigation. Police declined comment on if foul play is suspected.
Two men arrested following bank robbery
LAKE MILTON - Two men were jailed on Thursday after police said they robbed a Mahoning Avenue bank earlier in the day.
The men, who were wearing makeup, walked into the Farmers National Bank, 17817 Mahoning Ave., just before 10 a.m. and gave a teller a note demanding money, according to reports. They fled with the cash in a black BMW, reports state.
Police said they were not releasing the names of the men arrested until charges had been filed.
No injuries were reported.
Woman pleads in endangering case
WARREN - A Youngstown woman will undergo a presentence investigation before being sentenced later on a bill of information containing charges of endangering children and misdemeanor assault in connection with injuries to her 6-month-old son.
Megan Grubb, 23, of East Ravenwood Avenue, remains free on bond in the meantime. She pleaded guilty to the charges Thursday before Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Ronald Rice.
The endangering charge alleges that Grubb violated the duty of care on March 25, 2012, when the child suffered two broken legs. The assault charge stems from bruising found on the child Feb. 27, 2012.
Police break up fight among juveniles
WARREN - City police broke up a fight among a group of juveniles Thursday night at Mazda Avenue N.E. and Hollywood Street N.E.
Police were called to the disturbance just before 9 p.m. They said they detained a couple of the teenagers, but later released them to their parents.
No one was charged and no injuries were reported.
