Cardinal Mooney High School is currently being investigated for recruiting violations by the Ohio High School Athletic Association, director of communication Tim Stried informed the Tribune Chronicle Thursday morning.
The infraction is based on two eighth grade students from Struthers Middle School were hosted at a dinner by a coach at Cardinal Mooney about their possible matriculation to Mooney.
According to Tribune Chronicle news partner WYTV, the coach was a freshman football coach at Mooney. According to the release by the OHSAA, that coach has resigned.
