YOUNGSTOWN - A city man told police he was shot while driving along Pasadena Avenue Tuesday afternoon.
Ceaonnie Jones, 31, of East Ravenwood Avenue, suffered a gunshot wound to the forearm, police said. However, his injury was not life threatening and he was in stable condition at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Jones told police he was driving along Pasadena Avenue near the Homestead Avenue intersection about 12:45 p.m. when another vehicle approached his from the opposite direction, pulled close to his car and opened fire near the 700 block of Pasadena Avenue, according to a Youngstown police report. Jones told police six or seven shots were fired.
Police said they had received calls about 15 minutes before the time Jones said he was shot in reference to shots being fired in the area near the 600 and 700 blocks of Pasadena Avenue.
