4-H GROUP TO HELP COLLECT DONATIONS: The Llucky Llamas 4-H Club will collecting money and nonperishable food items for Second Harvest Food Bank from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday outside Sears in Austintown. The club will have llamas for the public to see and pet.
The collection is part of Second Harvest's Harvest for Hunger campaign in March. This is the 10th year the club has held the fundraiser. Since 2003, the Llucky Llama 4-H Club has raised more than $4,100 for the Harvest for Hunger campaign.
The Llucky Llama 4-H Club has been in existence for 13 years.
PETER COTTONTAIL COMES TO TOWN: Peter Cottontail will be hopping down the Bunny Trail from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Johnson Community Center, Gilmer Road, Leavittsburg. An egg hunt will be held at noon at nearby Center Park.
The event will also include a 50-50 raffle and Chinese auction to help raise funds for the Project Be Somebody Food Pantry. There are three age groups for the egg hunt.
EMPLOYEES HELP AT EASTER: West Corporation employees have been collecting nonperishable food items for the Warren Family Mission for more than a month, totaling more than 3,000 items for the mission to be used for the annual Easter meal and for the food pantry.
GOOD FRIDAY EVENT: Three Mahoning Valley organizations representing dozens of churches across Trumbull County are joining together to present the Good Friday Community Worship Service at 7 p.m. Friday at Greater Apostolic Faith Church, 3571 Tod Ave., in Warren.
The Trumbull County Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance, the Evangelical Minster's Fellowship and the Trumbull County Community of Christians are co-hosting the service. The service will feature music by a combined choirs.
EASTER EXTRAVAGANZA SET: Howland Community Church, 198 Niles Cortland Road S.E., will hold an Easter Extravaganza from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. There will be a petting zoo, Easter crafts and games.
BOWLING FUNDRAISER PLANNED: The Trumbull County 4-H Advisory Committee will hold a moonlight bowl at 7 p.m. April 6. Sponsors are being sought for the event. Call 330-638-6783 for information.
