CHURCH HOSTS GOOD FRIDAY EVENT: Pricetown United Methodist Church Choir, 4640 Pritchard Ohltown Road, Newton Falls, will hold "It is Finished" at 6 p.m. Friday. The Easter story will be presented in music and drama.
COMMUNITY CHALLENGE HELD: The Warren Community Challenge neighborhood discussion on long-term solutions for vacant houses and lots will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at Willard K-8 School for the residents of the Southwest and Palmyra Heights neighborhoods and at 6:30 p.m. April 3 at Lincoln K-8 School for the Northeast and Garfield neighborhoods. Talks will focus on ways to make a new vision for vacant homes and lots. The meetings are sponsored by Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership.
GARDENERS TO WORK THIS WEEKEND: Members of the Junior Master Gardeners will meet Saturday at the Packard Park Greenhouse where volunteers will be helping transplant annuals and herbs in preparation for the annual plant sale to be held 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 4 and 11. The junior gardeners have planted heirloom and popular tomato varieties and peppers.
AUTISM GROUP TO HOST PARENT NETWORK: The Autism Society of Mahoning Valley will hold a parent exchange network from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the Howland Library Branch. Guest speaker is Wendy Szakacs, OCALI regional consultant who will discuss "Social Competence: Play, Leisure and Making Friends." The presentation will have ideas about how to acquire and build social competence and how play and recreation can help enhance social interactions.
