TMH RETIREES TO MEET: A luncheon meeting of the Trumbull Memorial Hospital Retirees Club will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Buena Vista Cafe in Warren. The program will feature a talk by Tia Ciferno from Bella Women's Center. All TMH retirees' are welcome.

TRANSPORTATION AVAILABLE TO NUTRITION SITES: Area Agency 11 has awarded a grant to Trumbull Community Action Program to transport senior citizens to the Nutrition Sites in Trumbull County that are operated by the Office of Elderly Affairs. Transportation is for people 60 and older or the spouse of someone 60 or older.

Persons wanting to use the service need to call TCAP at 330-395-2287 to schedule rides and the Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs at 330-675-2486 to make meal reservations. Both calls need to be made prior to 3 p.m. two working days before they wish to go.

People will be asked to make a donation for both their ride (while on the van) and for their meal (while at the nutrition site).

FREE TAX PREPARATION AVAILABLE: AARP Tax-Aide is a program of the AARP Foundation, which is offered in conjunction with the IRS. This program provides free tax preparation and filing for federal and state tax returns. The preparers will begin preparing and filing tax returns for the 2012 tax year from Feb. 1 to April 15. Those who attend must bring a photo ID, Social Security card, and a copy of last year's tax returns.

SENIOR FRAUD FORUM: The Ohio Attorney General's office is co-sponsoring a Senior Fraud Forum for National Consumer Protection Week, March 3 to 9.

NUTRITION SITES AVAILABLE: The Trumbull County Nutrition Program for the Elderly is provided by the Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs and operates nutrition sites at 11 locations throughout Trumbull County. These sites provide a meal and the opportunity for socialization. Donations will be accepted.

Any senior citizen age 60 or older and his or her spouse is welcome for lunch at any of the following sites:

FOWLER-VIENNA SENIOR CITIZENS: The group meets 9:30 a.m. or later every Thursday at the Fowler Community Center to play cards and games, to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries, and for a 50-50 raffle and meals.

Cards and bingo are played every day, and singing is on Wednesdays. To attend, call Davis two days prior.

JOHNSTON SENIOR CENTER
