DIVISION I
MENTOR - Boardman's Nick Mancini won the 113-pound weight class at the Division I district tournament at Mentor High School.
Mancini beat Justyn Bostic of Jackson, 8-3, in the championship. He advanced to the state tournament - the top four placers qualified - along with the Spartans' Joe Cordova, who placed fourth at 182 pounds.
Austintown Fitch's Camran Rezapourian is an alternate at 170 pounds as he finished fifth.
DIVISION III
GARFIELD HEIGHTS - Grand Valley's Sean Szitas and Glenn Zaller each finished third at the Division III district tournament at Garfield Heights High School.

The duo qualified for the state tournament with their placements - Szitas at 152 pounds and Zaller at 182. The top four placers in each weight class moved on. Garfield's Kevin Stock, who finished first in the 182-pound weight class, was the only other area wrestler to advance. Jackson-Milton's Mitch Tikkanen is an alternate at 106 after coming in fifth place.
Girard's Zane Chase (120) and Nick Cardiero (152) each placed sixth for the Indians.
