Gracie Lou Parks 1941-2013

WARREN - Gracie Lou Parks, 71, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at St. Joseph Health Center after an extended illness.

She was born Dec. 18, 1941, in LuVerne, Ala., the daughter of David Parks and Inez Whitaker.

She was retired from the labor gang at Packard Electric and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Kelvin L. "K.P." Parks; seven sisters, Betty J. Saffold, Deloris Brown, Ruby Harris, Dorothy Morgan and JoAnne P. Henry, all of Warren, Carole McKinney of Niles, and Yvonne Hinton of Dayton; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and special friend Lucius Barrow.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Bridgett Parks, and a brother and a sister.

A service will be held at noon Tuesday at Friendship Baptist Church, where friends may call an hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Pine Knoll Cemetery in Warren Township.

Friends also will be received at 2997 Regal Drive N.W., the home of Ms. Deloris Brown.
