Thomas B. Buzzelli Sr. 1929-2013

WARREN - Thomas B. Buzzelli Sr., 83, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at his residence.

He was born March 2, 1929, in Allison, Pa., the son of Louis and Anna Buzzelli, and came to Warren in 1947.

A graduate of Redstone High School, Thomas retired in 1990 from Packard Electric as a die setter after 42 years.

He was a member of St. Pius X Church, St. Vincent de Paul and the Men's Club Choir of the church. He enjoyed fishing, golf, gardening, fixing things and growing vegetables.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Buzzelli, whom he married June 6, 1953; five children, Thomas P. (Carrie) Buzzelli of Xenia, Anna (Paul) Rezabek of Cortland, John R. (Tammy) Buzzelli of McDonald, Christopher A. (Dorian) Buzzelli of Los Angeles and Glen D. (Amy) Buzzelli of Voliant, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Sarah, Shauna, Thomas III, Rachel, Savannah, Lawless, Dasher and Chase; and a sister, Katherine Geisinger of Cleveland.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Theresa Gundy, Nancy Midlik, Dolores Edman, Patricia Lightner and Janice Buzzelli; and two brothers, Joseph Buzzelli and John A. Buzzelli.

Friends and family may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Peter Rossi and Son Memorial Chapel, where a funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Chris Henyk officiating.

Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery, Cortland.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 2415 Niles Road S.E., Warren, OH 44484, or the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
