Girard’s Teter dives into state berth

CLEVELAND - Girard's Savannah Teter claimed the final qualifying spot, getting sixth, during Wednesday's Division II girls diving competition at the district meet at Cleveland State University.

Teter scored 329.40, edging out Shaker Heights Laurel's Patricia Roscoe, who had a 329.10.

The top six places headed to next Wednesday's state meet in Canton.

Rocky River's Ryleigh Tuck-Macalla was first (389.95), while Alice Clark of Fairview was second (377.40).

Poland's Celia Melillo took eighth (305.90), while teammate Nicolette Kreatsolous was 10th (295.80).

Today, the Division I boys and girls diving takes place.
