NILES - Nino Toto, 83, passed away Monday evening, Feb. 4, 2013, at his home.
Nino was born April 8, 1929, in San Vito, Italy, the son of Francesco and Camilla Toto.
Nino worked as a tow motor operator at Packard Electric for 35 years, before retiring in 1990.

He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Niles.
Nino enjoyed playing bocce, cooking, walking at the mall, playing cards, and was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
His wife, the former Betty Jane Winchell, whom he married Aug. 4, 1960, preceded him in death July 29, 2010.
His memory will be remembered and celebrated by those he leaves behind, his daughters, Diana J. (Marc) Franco of Cortland and Martha J. Toto of Howland; his son, William A. (Scarlett) Toto of Atlanta; four grandchildren, Anthony and Mitchell Franco, and Skylar and Emma Toto; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his sister, Dina Nenna of San Vito, Italy.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Robert P. McDermott Memorial Home, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Donald Hall officiating. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
