WARREN - Harold Joseph Callahan Sr., 91, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at his residence.
He was born April 18, 1921, in Elbert, W.Va., the son of the late Worley Callahan and the late Annie Spriggs Callahan.
He worked as a welder for AM Welder for 18 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II.
Harold was of the Baptist faith. He lived his life by the Bible, which he knew and believed whole-heartedly.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Sayers Callahan, whom he married Dec. 24, 1943; his sons, Samuel Callahan of Warren and Harold "Jay" (Ellen) Callahan of Summerville, S.C.; a sister, Marie Tominson of Cummings, Ga.; and grandchildren, Benjamin and Sarah Callahan.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Per Harold's request, there will be no services or calling hours. Cremation will take place.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
