STOW -- Law enforcement officials say the cocaine seized at a small northeast Ohio university airport could have a street value of $2 million or more.

The Akron Beacon Journal reports that the 30 kilograms of cocaine were seized after being flown into the Kent State Airport in Stow Friday night aboard a small private plane.

Kent State police said federal agents tipped them that the shipment of cocaine was being flown in from Los Angeles. The plane was met by police, and a drug-sniffing dog alerted officers to the drugs in a luggage compartment behind the pilot.

Three California men were arrested and jailed on felony drug possession charges. A judge set their bond Tuesday at $1 million each.
