Walter and Paula Shelar of Howland are announcing the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Andrea L. Saffle to Gabriel A. Novotny, son of Dennis Schuller of Warren, and the late Rhoda Schuller and David Novotny.
Ms. Saffle graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 2004 and went on to receive a bachelor's degree in nursing from Youngstown State University. She is employed as a registered nurse at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
Mr. Novotny graduated from Lakeview High School in 1998, and received a bachelor's degree in finance from Kent State University. He is employed as a procurement manager at GTech USA in Houston.

The couple resides in The Woodlands, Texas.
The couple will be united in marriage during a wedding ceremony to be held April 27, 2013, at St. Robert Church in Cortland. Invitations will be issued for the ceremony and reception.
