COLUMBUS -- Ted Strickland has announced he will not run for governor next year.
Strickland, a Democrat, lost to Republican John Kasich in 2010 in the most expensive governor's race in Ohio history.
U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Niles and Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald have previously announced that they are considering a run in next year's Democratic primary.
