WARREN - Charles E. Overfield, 77, passed away Monday morning, Dec. 31, 2012, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 11, 1935, in Philippi, W.Va., the son of Carson and Leona Dawson Overfield.
Charley had worked as a plant manager for the former Davidson Industries for nearly 30 years before retirement.

In his free time, he enjoyed bird watching and camping. He was an avid tinkerer and loved fishing and especially spending time with his beloved grandkids.
Charley would marry his sweetheart, Arlene J. Welch, on Sept. 25, 1954, and with her share more than 58 years of marriage and their three children.
He leaves behind his wife, Arlene; his daughter, Carol (Ian) Cassaro of Warren; his son, Steve (Michele) Overfield of Madison; five grandchildren, Nick, Daniel and Erik Florida, Steven Overfield and Marissa VonGuten; four great-grandchildren; as well as three brothers and three sisters.
Charley was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Barbara Ann Overfield; and by his beloved granddaughter, Stefanie Arnold, on July 21, 2012.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Sand Run Baptist Church in Buckhannon, W.Va., with the Rev. Jim Dittmar of the Warren Baptist Temple officiating.
Burial will take place at the church cemetery.
