James M. Palcisco 1950-2012

WARREN - James Michael Palcisco, 62, died at 1:04 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Health Center after suffering a heart attack.

He was born April 24, 1950, in Commodore, Pa., the son of Edna Lydic Palcisco Gehrlein of Warren and the late Lenten J. Palcisco.

James was a 1968 graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School. Jim was in the Carpenter's Union in Warren and worked as a journeyman carpenter at Republic Steel and AP O'Hara before becoming self-employed. Mr. Palcisco was an avid Chicago Bears fan, a lover of the old Western movies and a huge Andy Griffith fan. He loved to collect sports memorabilia and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Other than his mother, James is survived by his wife, the former Carrie Ruth Dillon, whom he married Oct. 23, 1971; his children, Vonda Lynne Palcisco of Warren, Garry (Rebecca) Palcisco of Champion, Nancy Verbosky of Warren and Candace Ware of Austintown; seven grandchildren, Paris Carrie Palcisco, Zachary Palcisco, Mallory Kouvaris, Marque Needler, Danielle O'Connor, William Yount and Emilee Ware; one sister, Cecilia Monneypenny of Rootstown; and several nieces and nephews.

Other than his father, James was preceded in death by his stepfather, Paul Gehrlein; and one son, Shayne Jenkins.

Funeral services will be private and burial will take place in Pine Knoll Cemetery in Warren.

All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
