POLAND - Russell Doyle, 93, formerly of Hubbard, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Briarfield Manor in Austintown.
Russell was born Dec. 28, 1918, in New Bedford, Pa., the son of James and Augusta Mundorf Doyle.
He was a rubber worker at Aeroquip Corp. in Youngstown for 53 years. He was also the owner and operator of Doyle's Sales & Service repairing appliances and TVs.

He was a member of Central Christian Church of Hubbard, a former trustee, member of Harmony Class, and served on other various committees.
He was known for baking bread to share with friends, family and his church.
Russell was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II European Theatre, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. In 2011, he was honored at the Trumbull County Fair for being a Purple Heart veteran.
His wife, the former E. Marie Hays, whom he married Feb. 22, 1941, passed away Dec. 15, 2002.
Russell will be sadly missed by his family; his daughters Linda (Frank) Geuss of Traverse City, Mich., and Diane (Andy) Repasky of Champion; his eight grandchildren, Eric Geuss, Cheryl Ruszkowski, Darren Geuss, Drew Repasky, Arin Steiner, Gary Repasky, Heather Doyle, Ph.D., and Mark Doyle; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, his son Rusty Doyle; five brothers, James Doyle, Francis Doyle, Charles Doyle, Edward Doyle and Albert Doyle; and four sisters, Helen Doyle, Kathryn Doyle, Augusta DeVite and Mae Armand.
There will be services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.
Russell will be laid to rest at Hubbard Union Cemetery with full military honors provided by Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard.
