The Kent State Golden Flashes are off to their first bowl game since the 1972 Tangerine Bowl.
On Sunday night, it was announced Kent will travel to Mobile, Al. to take on Arkansas State in the GoDaddy.com Bowl on Jan. 6. The game will kick off at 9 p.m.
Kent State very well could have ended up in the Orange Bowl if the Golden Flashes had defeated Northern Illinois on Friday night for the Mid-American Conference Championship. With the win, the Huskies are playing in the BCS bowl and will face Florida State.
