Having worked as a foreman for American Welding of Warren for many years, he then worked for General Motors for 15 years and retired Dec. 1, 1987. He was a member of Kinsman United Methodist Church since 1948, a ''fifty Plus'' member of the Mecca Grange No. 1594 and the National Campers & Hikers Association. He loved to travel and camp, do woodworking and could fix just about anything. He loved his neighbors and friends and was quick to assist you if you needed a hand. At the age of 16 he became a private pilot and enjoyed flying for many years, which rubbed off onto several family members. Above all, Lee loved his family and spending time with them as well as his friends.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gladys E. Trosper, whom he married Sept. 3, 1948; two daughters, Tonnie Lee (Dana) Spratt of Burlington, Mass., and Barbara T. (Merlen Levering) Wright of Akron; a son, Greig A. (Sally) Trosper of Holland, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Kelly, Meghan, Tonnie, Rebecca, Trevor, Ryan and Shane; and three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Ashley and Caitlin, with another one on the way.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, with the Revs. Merlen Levering and David McKinnon officiating. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Kinsman United Methodist Church or the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society.

An online guestbook is available at baumgardnerfuneralhomes.com.
