Gallery to host artist’s reception

A reception to celebrate the work of artist, professor and author Al Bright, will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Art Outreach Galley in the Eastwood Mall.

The exhibition, "A Celebration of Al Bright: Artists' Reunion" has been featured at the gallery since Friday and will run through Jan. 6.

The exhibition features artwork by Bright and more than 40 of his past students. Also displayed is artwork by students from Niles McKinley High School and Niles Middle School.

Students representing Bright's reunion have gone on to become artists in their own right. These artists also will be displaying works produced while they were still students under Bright. Current works also will be displayed. Many of the pieces of artwork will be for sale with the artists receiving 100 percent of the sale.

Artists participating include Kathryn Bernard, Wayne Gruver, Denise Bright, Chris Ross, Suzanne Gray, Jay (Otis) Gordon, Jaison Lee, Melissa Allison, Trish Blackman, Amy Krieger, Merle Fischer (Bouffard), Charlene Galose, Sean Butler, Amy Rigby, Allison Keith, Kristina Smith, Arrilous Beechman, Amanda Thompson (Bero), Brennan Calvey, Stacy Torma, Troy Goldberg, Jeremy Lockard, Bobbi Lapushansky, Jean Saadey, Phil Saadey, Karen Fry, Elizabeth Timmerman, Ron Mistovich, Franky Laude, Janet Martsellar, Steve Mountz, Linda Mohn, Susan Jacobs, MariAnn Cann, Susan Holub, Ed Baldaldo, Derrick Dickey, Gary Tameri, Richarda Bisson, Elizabeth Bulkley (Testa), Angela Speece, and Christy Lyras.

Gallery hours 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. All exhibits are free and open to the public.
