VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE FEATURES GUEST: A North-Mar Church Ladies Victorian Christmas open house and Christmas tree walk will be held two times, at 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. for the open house, and 7 p.m. for the program on Friday at the North-Mar Church, 3855 E. Market St., Warren. Special guest for the event is 1987 Miss America Kellye Cash, who will share her story and music during the program. Cash, of Milan, Tenn., has released six CDs of music and makes 100 appearances each year at charitable, community and political events. Tickets for the event are $5 and will be available at the door.
EXTRAVAGANZA SET AT LIBRARY: The Liberty Holiday Extravaganza will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Liberty Library Branch, 415 Churchill-Hubbard Road. The event will include crafts and stories.
CRAFT SHOW SET AT BUTLER: The 42nd annual American Fine Arts and Crafts show will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Butler Institute of American Art, 524 Wick Ave., Youngstown. Cost is $5 per person, with children younger than 12 free. Proceeds benefit the Butler's free education programs. Works by artisans and crafters in a variety of media will be shown. Small antiques and collectible appraisal will be from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday
PETS CAN SEE SANTA: Pets will have the opportunity to be photographed with Santa Claus from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Pet Supplies Plus in Niles. The event is being hosted by Legacy Dog Rescue, with all proceeds benefiting animals in need. Call 330-330-8166 for information.
GIVING TREE EFFORT AT LIBRARY: The Niles Community Services has provided ornaments and gift suggestions for children for the Giving Tree set up at the McKinley Memorial Library. Those participating can bring wrapped gifts to the library for delivery to community services.
