BRISTOLVILLE - James W. Collins, 58, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at his home.
He was born Sept. 15, 1954, in Warren, the son of the late Daniel A. Collins and the late Mary Louise Cross Collins.
He was employed as a steelworker at RG Steel for 23 years.

James was a member of United Steelworkers Local 1375. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, going to flea markets, cooking and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters, Brandy Donaldson of Bristolville, Leslie Phillips Whittaker of Reynoldsville, Pa., and Angel Collins of Meadville, Pa.; a son, Robert T.L. Phillips II of Columbus; brothers Michael and Timothy Collins of Warren; a grandson, Austin Whittaker; granddaughters Madison Johns, Annabelle Collins and Alanna Collins; and his former wife, Dolores Collins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Daniel Collins.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where the Rev. Bernard Schmalzried will officiate. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pine Knoll Cemetery, Warren Township.
