Elbert "Roy"?and Doris Tackett celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Nov. 22, 2012.
Elbert and the former Doris Porter were high school sweethearts who grew up in Olive Hill, Ky., and married on Nov. 22, 1952.
They moved to Warren in 1953 where they raised their five sons, Richard (Sandra)?of Kinsman; Keith (Isabella) of Houston; Tim (Maureen) of Newburgh, Ind.; Rodney (Darlene) of Warren and Wendell (Astrid) of Ann Arbor, Mich. They also have 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Elbert retired from Copperweld Steel in 1986, and Doris is a homemaker. They have resided in Champion for the past 30 years.
