BRISTOLVILLE - James W. Collins, 58, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at his home following an extended illness.
He was born Sept. 15, 1954, in Warren, the son of the late Daniel A. Collins and the late Mary Louise Cross.
He was employed as a steel worker at RG Steel for 23 years. James was a member of Steelworkers Union 1375. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, going to flea markets, cooking and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters, Brandy Donaldson of Bristolville, Leslie Phillips Whittaker of Reynoldsville, Pa., and Angel Collins of Meadville, Pa.; a son, Robert T.L. Phillips II of Columbus; brothers, Michael and Timothy Collins of Warren; a grandson, Austin Whittaker; granddaughters, Madison Johns, Annabelle Collins and Alanna Collins; and his former wife, Dolores Collins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Daniel Collins.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where the Rev. Bernard Schmalzried will officiate. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Interment will be in Pine Knoll Cemetery, Warren Township.
