Man found shot to death in SUV in drive

YOUNGSTOWN - Youngstown police are investing a shooting death on the city's South Side at 240 E. Avondale Ave., the same place where a double homicide happened earlier this year.

Neighbors who live on the street said enough is enough.

"Time for this neighborhood to wake up. They used to say wake up and smell the coffee, wake up and smell life," Jackie Spann-Menton, 6th Ward precinct committeewoman, told WYTV 33 News.

Police were called shortly after 9 a.m. and found the body of Tamarick Moore, 18, sitting in the driver's seat of an SUV backed into the driveway.

Police said it appears the victim was shot once, either late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.

It appears no one was living in the house at the time.
