CORTLAND - Helen M. Smith, 84, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at the Cortland Health Care Center.
She was born March 7, 1928, in Wheeling, W.Va., the daughter of Marion and Wilma Johnson Mozingo.
Helen was retired from Packard Electric.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Andy) Hodovan of Mecca; four grandchildren, Marlo (John) Chilson, William (Annette) Jones, Andy (Melinda) Hodovan and Joseph (Julia) Hodovan; and three sisters, Bulah Kyle of Dorset, Gladys Welser of Jefferson and Jessie Chinchar of Cortland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; her parents; a great-grandson, Jarred Chilson; and siblings, Carl Mozingo, June Mozingo and Hattie Dennis.
A private graveside service will be held at Mecca Cemetery.
