Annual medieval celebration set

TAPESTRIES HOSTS 17TH ANNUAL MEDIEVAL CELEBRATION: Tapestries of Ohio will hold its 17th annual Medieval Celebration at Christmastyme at 7 p.m. Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, 7 and 8. The event will include period musical instruments, songs from the 15th to 17th centuries, costumes and drama in a madrigal celebration. Tickets are $30 by today or $35 after by calling 330-726-5576 or visiting tapestriesofohio.net.

FOOD DONATIONS NEEDED: The Salvation Army, 1501 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown, is in need of donations of frozen uncooked turkeys to assist with the Thanksgiving dinner Wednesday and frozen uncooked turkeys and hams for the Christmas dinner on Dec. 21. Items for Thanksgiving are needed by today and for Christmas by Dec. 14. For information, call 330-270-5999.

BROOKFIELD HOSTS OUTREACH: The Brookfield Township Outreach Association is collecting non-perishable food items to help families in need this holiday season. Items can be brought from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday to the fire department off state Route 7. The effort will help the police and fire departments with their annual effort.

ASSOCIATION SEEKS MEMBERS: The Newton Township Cemetery Association holds monthly meetings and has members help with fundraisers, which include the sale of the calendars. For information, call 330-872-3116 or 330-872-0236.

ASSOCIATION TO MEET: The Garfield Neighborhood Association will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. today at the Knights of Columbus Hall on the corner of East Market Street and Genesee. The group is concerned with improving neighborhood safety, awareness and community education. Discussion will be on improving economic opportunities, housing and general living conditions within the city of Warren.
