YOUNGSTOWN -- Ward Beecher Hall at Youngstown State University is expected to reopen this morning after a hydrochloric acid spill Tuesday afternoon triggered an evacuation.
A container fell to the ground and shattered, spilling about a gallon of the acid. It caused minor splash burns on one student.
The Youngstown Fire Department evacuated Ward Beecher and the university cancelled classes there for the rest of the day.
