"So, If farms and business does not get their welfare checks then they will rape you. "

Just like education did all of the libtards.

@Antdeb: you are correct, and if you own a home, have a new car or 10 new cars, have savings, have an IRA, have gold bullion, have a coin collection, Own savings bonds, but have no income, lost your job, closed your plant, fired you for cause, and have no income, you may get your food stamps. Go buy your steak and lobster tails. you can visit the OHIO BENEFIT BANK. for full information. (a program of the OHIO association of foodbanks check "Could I be eligible".)

A. To be eligible for food assistance, your family income cannot exceed 130 percent of the federal poverty guideline ($27,560 for a family of four). To see if you might be eligible, visit ****foodstamps-step1.usda.gov or *******ODJFSBenefits.Ohio.gov or call or visit your county department of job and family services. You can also find more information about the program at *******jfs.ohio.gov/factsheets/foodassistance.pdf.

dstabt: It's your income and expenses, that allow you to get Food Stamps. You can have a bank account and still get food stamps. You can eat lobster and steak everyday on food stamps.

You can BAKE an Ice cream cake and get food stamps. The EBT card tells no story at all. Lots of middle class, white Anglo-Saxons on food stamps.

I would venture to say the Welfare Fraud is quite rampant in this country based on what I see on a daily basis. You are obviously defending this for your own reasons. So good luck with that!!

I never suggested we look at anyone. I'm not that NOSEY. and I don't have that ability to look at someone and even dare to believe I know something about someone else.

Well, can you name people who allow all this welfare fraud to happen?

So we are "looking at the wrong people"? Who should we look at then? Why don't you tell us? You seem to know?? Hmm??

Antdeb: So tell us about welfare fraud? do these people live in grand house's or do they live in the ghetto? do they drive caddies or a car that cost's under $2,000 do they take grand vacations or just to the local park.

All: Owning a car or Home, as well as clothing items, jewelry, furniture and household goods do not count against your eligibility for getting food stamps. So all you people who enjoy going to Wal-Mart or K- mart your wasting your time looking at the way people dress. get a life those women in the furs and jewels could be on food stamps. So lets have no more foolishness and slur people because you fools are looking at the wrong people. Maybe they pawned their grandma's wedding ring to buy that BIRTHDAY cake. or sold their ROLLS ROYCE. What idiots, people are, to think they can look at someone and tell from their clothing if they have money in the bank. that's real stupid.

The problem is that Twerker just doesn't have a clue about the reality of welfare fraud!! There are people on it that really need it-however the people on assistance are over populating the working tax payers. And the politicians are selling votes by handing out entitlements!!!!

All: What does white have to do with anything. look at your story on here methinks you stretch the truth, trying to make some stupid racial point I guess. somebody with 2 kids and making $340.00; lf they can't get food stamps then nobody can. your single friend lied to you.

Dstabt: Tell your friend she is eligible for $416 in food assistance a month. whether she is white ,black, or green with purple polka dot's.

@ Twerker I think Mark9902 might be trying to say that if they are so poor, why not buy the box cake and make it themselves. It would be the economical choice for birthday cakes. But when some are abusing the system and buy lobster and steaks, it proves they refuse to budget like every other person who is working to pay for their assistance. So that brings into question all other questions.

If people have to be tested to make money through employment then the same rules and more should be imposed on those just being handed the money. Random, surprise monthly drug testing for suspicion of use of drugs or fraud of the system. Which is the same for employed individuals......

I believe the welfare agency discourages and encourages dependence and independence by race.

I agree with AntDeb that is the targeted population I was directing my comments too. I have a single friend who has two elementary kids, worked part time and looked into food stamps and other assistance. She's white and was told she makes too much @ her $8.50/hr job. Grant it, she was a part-timer who wasn't @ 40 hrs, ( some weeks lucky to get 20 ) and ex hubby was a deadbeat. Left her w/bills. I would bet a good sum of money mother of two is white.

Tweaker : IT'S A REQUIREMENT WHEN WORKING AT A BANK OR CREDIT UNION TO BE TESTED BEFORE HIRED. Not only did I have to pee in a cup they also drew blood to test me for drugs. You really need to inform yourself rather then BS your way through things on this board....I SUPPORT strict requirements on Welfare reform, ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!

@motherof2: The welfare recipients I was referring to were those that have made a career out of welfare. Those that continually have children to receive more benefits, sell their food stamps for cash, etc. I made that clear early on in this discussion. Of course there are people that need additional help, but those that make a career out of it and de-fraud the government need to be removed from services.

I have news for some of you, many of the people receiving food stamps are the working poor. I'm sure most of you are too busy to take a look at the job boards because it is easier to just point fingers but most of the jobs out there are pt/no benefits/low pay. Take a trip to the employment office sometime (if that is not "beneath" you. Most of the people going there are over the age of 40....and as I read these comments, I can guess the ones who A: have a husband to support them or get buttloads of child support, B: got to retire from a job after 40 years, C: inherited money.

So, If farms and business does not get their welfare checks then they will rape you.

""""Talks resumed Wednesday in Washington on a farm bill that could have a serious impact on milk and dairy prices.

The bill has been held up because of a battle over a provision dealing with the Food Stamps program. If the farm bill isn't signed into law by the end of the year, the country reverts back to laws passed in the 1930s and 1940s, which could have catastrophic effects on consumers.

One of those effects could be paying double for a gallon of milk, meaning between $6 and $8 a gallon.""""
