@Rainman: why should we listen to you? Why should we elect someone who has never been in office. Remember our forefathers Wanted people with the political exp. that's why we elect our senators in 1/3 groups so that everyone is NOT new. Same with our reps. The founding fathers knew that some would be reelected because they are elected in mass. Maybe you don't trust the writers of the constitution , but I do.

Obama is a Muslim---remember he said he visited all 57 states except for one. No American candidate would ever make that statement.

Broken system? Thank a republican. Look at their ring leaders. (Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz, Rush Limbaugh, Koch Brothers and John Bonhead). These are the so called leaders who are NOT leading but are "stirring" up the hot kettle of rage. Republicans want to lock in this sequester and offer MORE deep cuts into the big three: Medicare, Social security, and medicaid. Instead of taxing the ultra wealthy more, they rather gut someone earning $30,000.00 or less. SMART? I don't think so.....

"U.S. Veterans tore down barricades blocking public war memorials today and threw them at the White House.

The barricades were put in place by a vindictive President Obama to intentionally hurt the public over the rebuking of Obama Care and the resulting government shut down.

God Bless These Men!"

this is getting real. anger is about to boil over in this country. things are going to get interesting when they shut off EBT cards for good. thats when the riots start.

FACT:

Reid rejected the plan -- which calls for funding the government for six months and increasing the federal debt limit through January -- purportedly, in part, because the spending level of $967 billion next year was too low, despite it providing more flexibility in administering the federal budget cuts under sequester.

It's time we lived within our budget. Trouble is we have no budget, we, ie the congress spends the money first and then doesn't want to pay for it second. If congress is so happy to buy it, they need to have the guts to find the money to pay for it. Even a debt ceiling increase is NOT paying for it, its just promising to pay for it down the road. Thank God we've stopped sending money to Egypt. Too soon old, too late smart.

Obama is the Captain of the ship, and he is a failure. He shows no leadership, & is protected by the media (Pravda). Who voted for this fraud and creep ?

There is only one thing that will get the politicians attention......Vote every*****incumbent out at every election. They only get elected and start working their entire term to get re-elected. Once they're done giving all their constituents election ******** speeches, they go off and drink the Washington kool-aid and forget their hollow promises. Why do you think they work so hard for a $175,000 job?. It's for all the soft money that they get along the way. It doesn't matter anymore if it's Democrat or Republican....They're all POLITICIANS that don't represent you and I. Wake up people!!! Keep an eye on your constitution....that will be the next thing try and change.VOTE everyone of these no good incumbent crooks out at every election!!!!That will be their wake up call. Quit worrying about your cell phones, Kardashians, etc.

This article is misleading. Why because Obama knew this day was coming, when the Republicans won the House in 2010, it was the people telling Obama to cut back.

When Obama spends 75,000,000,000.00 more each MONTH than we take in--well this is a problem.

Think back Obama said if the Sequester is engaged the country will fall apart--this did not happen.

John Boehner has approved Obama paying every bill, all he is asking to curtail some discrentionary spending.. Boehner has proposed raising the debt one dollar for every one dollar of future spending cuts and Obama can decide what to cut---but now that's not good enough for Obama.

He is fact destoying our country's economic ability to remain strong.

The truly believes he is the King

"Congress lumbered through a day of political maneuvering" This says it all. The word political sums it right up. Why the frick can't the idiots we elected get this right by doing what is right, and not what is political? And do not feed me this crap about one side or the other. BOTH sides are all about political power, not what is wirhgt for the country and the people who live here. It is all about getting re-elected and who will have the power. I am fed up with it. DefeatSBB5, you mention political process, since when should that be the issue? What happened to we the people, for the people.

The baggers are kind of impressive in a way.

I'm not as amazed at how often they shoot themselves in the foot, I'm amazed at how fast they reload.

Mark my words, they will all be neutralized politically next week.
