Ya hear the sucking sound? That's the oil and gas heading to China. We should keep it here.

I hope they sink some wells in Vienna and Howland soon. I would love to see some of that royalty money there as well as on the west side.

This is excellent news for our area. Surveys show and increasing acceptance by the public over this new industry moving into our area. As the myths and fears of the public as dispelled by the truths, this area will see increased economic growth from the oil and gas production. It interesting to note that there are literally thousands of Clinton wells in Mahoning/Trumbull counties that have been operating for decades with no environmental disasters. The are drilled thru the same aquifers as the Utica wells and were drilled at a time that the technology was no where near what it is today. They produce waste water also and we have had no controversy about them. Heck most people don't even know they are there. If you visit one of these new Utica wells you get a feel for the 1st class operation that these sites are. When they are done they leave a well groomed and landscaped area around the well head. They are also repaving the roads after they are thru.
