I found an American Dog Tick attached to my inner thigh after doing yard work the other day. I am on a 2 week prophylactic course of doxycycline.

I sent the tick to a lab at The University of Massachusetts Amherst to be tested for disease. The diseases ticks transmit can be fatal or make you feel like death. The bullseye rash only occurs in about 1/3 people who are infected with Lyme.
