There is a saying, BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR, He opened up his mouth and the team to a challenge and ended up paying the price. 24-0 might as well been 0-24 when you can't even make it out of your district. They may have had a nice regular season but there week schedule during the season finally caught up to them, wether you want to believe it or not. They finally faced a team that was up to there pace of getting it past the timeline and shoot offense. On top of that, they weren't even the best team in that district. Facts are facts and know matter what cannot be denied.

You are all pathetic. Coach Giesy is a very good coach and a kind person. Is this all you have to do? Sit around putting down a person that puts everything out there for the kids and the community? You are all sad individuals. A bunch of immature sad excuses for human beings. It is what it is...a small town that is proud of their basketball team and not afraid to show it. It has nothing to do with having big heads. We were all just having fun (at nobody's expense.) It was a great ride. I thank Coach Giesy and team for a wonderful year. Sad to see it end. But it did and we all move on. Good luck to both Windham and McDonald Friday night. Whichever team wins, represent our area with pride and dignity.

The score shouldn't of been that close but some questionable calls seemed to go Bristols way like it did all season which made it alot closer then it should of been. Bristol got OUT PLAYED & OUT COACHED and everything else in between. And about Bristols winning regular season.Well,A blind squirrel sometimes finds a nut.

Proves one thing.Cockiness does not win you Games when they count. Its amazing Bristol could get through the door with how swelled up there Heads were.Reality check!Your not as good as you think you are.I know Reality sometimes isn't pretty. And another thing Bristol people, learn some manners!!!You don't have to act like your Coach.

The scores were close at the end of quarters but had McDonald made any free throws this would have been a 15-20 point win and sealed much earlier. They were clearly the better team. Still a great season for Bristol. Congrats to both teams.

solong- yes you're right, the facts are there- an undefeated regular season for a team who worked hard all summer and put their best effort on the court. They lost to a great team, no shame in that.

And bballman2, if Bristol played Windham, it would have been a close game as well... Bristol has lots of talent. Only loosing 2 seniors this year with plenty of talent coming up.... The next few years are going to be exciting. Can't wait for next years ride!!

solong that game could have went either way last night... Lots of missed shots & turnovers by both teams. Just a little recap of the game for you: End of 1st qtr 10-14 McDonald; End of 2nd qtr 32-33 McDonald; 49-50 McDonald at the end of the 3rd qtr & we all know what the final score was... McDonald just hit key shots in the last few minutes. Those Bristol boys played their rears off!!! I think you people have to give credit where credit is due & quit complaining about a so called weak schedule.... Can't wait for next year!!!!

congrats to bristol on a great season. oliver is a fine player and his conduct on the court should be a model for all high school athletes. they didnt get as far as they wanted but they have a lifetime of memories. they were ranked 3rd in state, were undefeated, and they got the oar........for now!

Hahahaa, Really GsyScks?! Glad you have nothing more to worry about than devoting your name to hating on the Bristol coach. . . A coach that leads a team who wasn't even on the radar to an undefeated season- yea- he sure does? Get a life. . .

Bristol finally played a team with a winning record, and it wasn't even the best team in their district. They should be glad they don't have to play Windham, they would of gotten blown away by them. All those wins look good on paper, until you look at all the losing teams they played to get them.

As I said before the game, a weak non-league schedule and the teams in their division of the league was going come back to haunt them. Never the less you cannot take away the great season they had.
