February 19, 2013

I am sure that most know about the recent illegal dumping of waste fracking fluid into the Mahoning River and the concern it caused. State Rep....

it really is a shame that money is more important to some people then the health of their children and grandchildren. once the water is poisoned it takes 10,000 years to become drinkable again. so i guess you will have to drink your gas and eat your money because with no water there is no food, no life, no people.

Other than economic gain for the drillers fracking I see little or no benefit for society. I do see a lot of negatives. Water that the earth will lose forever and illegal drilling and improper disposing of the waste water are the largest negatives as I see it.

DAN MOADUS Where do you get your info from, Faux Gnews? If the Arabs are paying me then it must be in the mail with my "Trickle Down" check. If you think we are all anti-American Communists or something like that, you might be interested to know that some of us are vets. I am a disabled, service connected, Viet Namn vet. Hey the corporations sent us to fight the "commies" for them and now they are in bed with them. What's wrong with that picture. Do a little checking and you might find out that's where the gas and oil, that they are getting, is headed for.

Dan you hates Arabs because of what a dozen crazy Arab fundamentalists did on 9/11. Do you hate all white men for the bombing Tim McVey did? The USA has always welcomed people of all of all nationalities and religions. You can even be a socialist, communist, anarchist, atheist etc. You are angry because of a petition to ban fracking in Y-town. It got enough votes to be on the ballot that is a Constitutional right. The citizens in Y-town can now vote on it and that is democracy. You have lots of things you don't like about the USA but you'll put up with poisoning the public for jobs. I'd suggest you would be happier in China. Jobs that dump toxins in our rivers are not the kind of jobs we need.

I happened to be at the blessing so I have a little more insight than Dan Moadus. Dan says of course there will be some environmental damage by energy corporations. I'll bet they said the same things before Three Mile Island and Chernobyl. There was no priest at the blessing as Dan said just two ministers. Dan mentions a song sung that didn't mention the Lord. Dan wants to portray those involved at the river blessing as godless communists. The two ministers both mentioned Jesus Christ enough that I felt uncomfortable for anyone who wasn't a Christian. I am anti-war as my Lord Jesus Christ the Prince of Peace was. I also believe in taking care of the Earth as he commanded. Like most people at the event I am not anti-corporate just anti-polluting corporations. No person at the event is on the payroll of a wealthy leftist that is just nutty. For my children's future I care about the environment and care that we have good law abiding corporations so our kids can have jobs.

I always give the author a "A+" for name-calling. He loves to broad-brush and make over-simplified undocumented generalizations in an attempt to validate his point while demonizing any opposing viewpoint. Tolerance is a foreign concept to him.

"Many of these groups are richly funded by very wealthy leftist benefactors along with some Arab partners...."

This piece didn't have much in the way of focus or substance to it from the very beginning but it pretty much careened off the edge of sanity after the above quoted line. Mr. Moadus, did seeing the character Jafar in the movie Aladdin make you afraid of the "Arabic people?"
